There is something quietly different about travelling with a small group of women.
Not because women experience Africa differently, but because the conditions of the journey are different. The pace becomes more instinctive. Conversations unfold more naturally. There is more freedom to follow curiosity, more space for reflection, and more time to notice the details that often become the most memorable parts of a journey.
Our women's journeys are intentionally small, allowing each group to find its own rhythm as it moves through East Africa. The result isn't a different version of Africa. It's a different way of experiencing it.

I'll be travelling with you from beginning to end. Not simply to guide the journey, but to share the East Africa I've come to know over more than a decade of living and working here.
Some of the people you'll meet have become lifelong friends. Some of the places we'll visit have lived in my little black book for years, waiting for the right moment to share with a small group of women. Others are simply places that continue to surprise and inspire me every time I return.
More than anything, I hope these journeys feel generous. A chance to experience extraordinary wildlife and landscapes, certainly, but also the conversations, friendships and unexpected moments that happen when a small group of women travels well together.

Some women come to walk through remote landscapes. Others would rather spend long days on safari, camera in hand, waiting patiently for wildlife to appear. Some are drawn to conservation, culture or beautiful camps where there's time to simply sit and absorb the landscape.

Our women's journeys are intentionally small, usually between six and ten women, depending on the itinerary.
Keeping the group intimate changes the way we travel. It gives everyone the chance to get to know one another, allows guides to adapt the pace to the group and creates space for conversations that rarely happen in larger tours.
It also gives us the flexibility to stay in remarkable camps and remote places that simply couldn't accommodate bigger groups. For us, travelling small isn't about exclusivity. It's about preserving the quality of the experience.

Absolutely. Some women join us on their own, while others travel with a friend, sister, mother or adult daughter. Both work beautifully.
What matters most isn't how you arrive, but your willingness to be part of the journey. The shared experience naturally brings people together, whether you've known each other for decades or only met on the first evening.
You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the journey together, while also becoming part of the wider group. We've found that some of the richest conversations happen when people step beyond the familiar and discover new friendships along the way.

While these journeys are shared, they are never constant. There is time for long conversations around the fire, but also quiet moments to read, photograph wildlife, write in a journal or simply sit with the landscape.
We've found that the best groups understand this instinctively. Some afternoons you'll find everyone together. Other times you'll notice women drifting off with a book, taking a slow walk around camp or enjoying the simple luxury of doing very little at all.
Travelling together doesn't mean spending every moment together. Sometimes the greatest gift of a small group is knowing you can step away for a while, and step back in whenever you're ready.

Yes. While a few favourite journeys may return, we don't believe in repeating the same itinerary year after year simply because it works.
East Africa is always changing. Seasons shift. Wildlife moves. Conservation projects evolve. Sometimes we discover a remarkable place we've been waiting to share. Other times, it's a conversation, a person or an idea that becomes the beginning of a new journey.
Rather than building our calendar around fixed products, we build it around places that deserve our attention. That means each year brings something different, while always staying true to the way we travel.

The best journey isn't necessarily the one with the most wildlife or the most famous destinations. It's the one that feels right for you.
Some women are drawn to remote walking safaris through northern Kenya. Others are excited by conservation, photography, cultural experiences or simply spending time in places that sit well beyond the usual safari circuit. Every journey has its own rhythm, level of adventure and purpose.

Absolutely.
Many women choose to arrive a few days early or stay on after the journey to explore more of East Africa. Whether you'd like time in Nairobi before the group begins, a few days on the Swahili Coast, a gorilla trek in Uganda or Rwanda, or another safari beyond the scheduled itinerary, we're happy to help you plan it.
Because we've spent years living, working and travelling throughout East Africa, we can suggest places that complement the journey you've already shared with the group, rather than simply adding another destination.
Sometimes the best way to end a remarkable journey is with a few unhurried days to let it settle before heading home.
