Lodges & private houses.
Africa's great lodges and private houses are destinations in their own right. Set carefully inside extraordinary landscapes, run by people whose knowledge of the surrounding wilderness is as deep as their commitment to your experience. The comfort here is real. So is everything just outside it.
On the water.
Some of Africa's most remarkable properties sit at the water's edge. On the shores of Lake Tanganyika, beside the confluence of great rivers, deep inside the waterways of the Okavango Delta, or facing the warm sweep of the Indian Ocean. Intimate bush camps.
Small, owner-run, and set somewhere most travellers never reach. Intimate bush camps are where Africa feels most immediate - the wildlife close, the nights alive with sound, days shaped entirely by what moves through the landscape around you. The people who run these camps know their corner of Africa better than anyone. That knowledge is part of what you are staying in.
Starbeds.
Some camps in Africa offer something that no room, however beautiful, can replicate - the chance to sleep entirely open to the night sky. Starbeds place you under the stars with the sounds of the African bush all around you. The Milky Way overhead. Something calling, far off, that you can't quite place. Sleep, when it comes, is unlike any other.
Remote fly camps.
The most remote, and the least like anywhere else. Accessed by small aircraft, a landing strip cut into the bush, and then nothing but open land in every direction - our remote fly camps exist at the furthest edge of what Africa offers. A handful of tents, the right guide, and ground that has barely been touched. Nobody forgets one of these.
